Le Palais d'Autriche est la Chambre du Peuple des maires du Lewsland. C'est le Parlement de l'Etat depuis mai 2014. Il doit son nom à un gouverneur de l'Empire austro-hongrois qui vinrent prendre congé ici régulièrement. Avec le démantèlement de l'Empire austro-hongrois, le Palais devint un musée puis en 2014, il devint un haut lieu parlementaire du Lewsland à la suite d el'élection de Valik en tant que capitale d'Etat en mai 2014. | |||
