Sur 10 ans le taux de chômage a considérablement augmenté à cause de la crise financière de 2008 qui s'est étalé sur plusieurs années mais aussi à cause de la période Carter qui a mis complètement la ville de côté car trop socialiste à son goût. Les investissements ont repris dès 2013 avec un taux de croissance qui repart à la hausse et un taux de chomage qui baisse. Toutefois, la ville est encore très loin de ses 4% de chomage du début des années 2000. | |||
